The
holidays can bring on all sorts of stress. Seeing family members, holiday
parties, or traveling tend to cause us to think about our appearance more than
normally would.
Another reason for undergoing such procedures during the holiday season, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery says: It's the only time of the year when some patients can take a week or two off from job or school for post-surgical healing.
Nose
jobs, eyelid surgery, Botox, and facelifts are all popular procedures during
the holidays. From Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve, plastic surgeries spike
about 25% because everyone wants to look their best for the holidays.
A huge trend that has started over the past few years has
been the notion of gifting plastic surgery to others. It doesn’t have to be
some extravagant surgery, it can be just a simple Botox or facial procedure.
There has been an increase in recent years of people shopping for facial rejuvenation
treatments for family and friends.
Speaking of friends and
family, all of us at Star Plastic Surgery would like to wish you and your
family Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.
