Experts Are Finding New Ways to Fight Bacteria

Doctors have been fighting bacteria with antibiotics for years and for the most part they have had great success. In recent years though, these diseases have been growing resistant to traditional medicine. In the 1940's, Western doctors stopped using phage because of the advent of antibiotics.

Experts have turned to phages once again instead of modern medicine. If you don’t know, phage therapy comes in different shapes and sizes and is the therapeutic use of bacteriophages to treat pathogenic bacterial infections. At Star Plastic Surgery, we are aware of all medical options on the market and currently we are not utilizing phages of any kind. However, we do take pride in keeping up with ever changing medical breakthroughs and the latest technology. Our board certified plastic surgeons want you to feel great about the way you look and strive to deliver safe and outstanding results.
